Hi everyone! I’m bringing you a special edition focused on all the shortages we’re (still) seeing in the news:

  1. You’re not alone in searching for tampons

  2. This summer will be a little less spicy without Sriracha

  3. German brewers want people to bring their bottles back

  4. The infant formula shortage has increased competition, but it’s hard to unseat the market leaders

  5. A popcorn shortage may impact your summer movie plans

Week 23 is over and I’m up to 20 books for the year. Last week I (finally) finished up Made to Stick. Chip and Dan Heath look at the similarities around various stories and ideas to determine what common elements help people remember the message. Dan Heath was the keynote speaker at a teaching symposium I attended a couple of years ago and I thought the book would be a good motivator for improving how I teach my classes.

I’ve already implemented some of the key ideas in my Monday newsletter and it has given me some ideas on how to change up some of my lessons in the Fall. There were A LOT of stories and examples throughout the book, which helped a bunch. Some parts were a bit repetitive, but overall it was worth reading if you’re in a teaching/marketing position.
